The London Series: No.1 The Thames Path

"Old Father Thames keeps rolling along". One of the most famous rivers in the world flows from Gloucestershire to Essex along a meandering route measuring 346 km. It offers a spectacular crash course in history and its' entire length can be walked or in parts cycled.

One of the most interesting walks which offers a multitude of contrasts between 'old' and 'new' London is the journey from the historic village of Greenwich on the south bank of the river walking west towards Central London before crossing Tower Bridge and then heading east along the north bank of the river to Canary Wharf. The walk takes about three hours depending on how long you stop for refreshments in some of the historic pubs along the route.

This exhibition shows you the views from the Thames Path as you follow the route above. We hope you enjoy the scenery as much as we did!
