The London Series: No. 3 Borough Market
Borough Market is a wholesale and retail market in Southwark just south of the famous Southwark Cathedral. It is one of the earliest and oldest food markets in London having first opened in 1014. The food market has over 100 stalls and stands. Producers from all over the UK offer a range of fresh products including fish, meats, vegetables, cheeses, breads and a myriad of other delicacies including produce imported from abroad. While the market is open Monday to Saturday the best day to visit is Thursday when all the stalls are open and it is not as crowded as at weekends. Otherwise try Friday or Saturday morning early and have a coffee as a treat ! Hope you get to enjoy the experience.
